Introduction to USB for Design Engineers

Access to the webinar requires registration on PMC-Sierra's website and approval to view this webinar.

What to Expect

From its origins in 1995, the Universal Serial Bus (USB) has gained widespread adoption for connecting peripherals to PCs. More recently, given its ease of use, expandability, high bandwidth and low cost, USB has emerged as a data transfer solution for embedded consumer electronic and mobile devices like digital cameras and PDAs. Consequently, product developers are increasingly being called upon to design and implement a wide range of USB I/O devices.

The webinar will:

  • Present a technical overview of USB
  • Explore USB I/O device implementations
  • Discuss recent developments in the standard, including USB On-The-Go and Wireless USB
  • Consider the market drivers for USB’s evolution
  • Conclude with a live Q&A session
