Product Overview

The Tachyon SPCve 16x6G is a highly-integrated 16-port SAS/SATA 1.5G/3G/6G Protocol Controller optimized for External storage system applications (SAN/NAS/DAS) and native SAS/SATA HBA applications. The PM8019 features StorClad™ encryption technology which provides a high-performance, manageable and scalable controller-based encryption solution.It provides application-programming interface that is compatible with other members of the widely adopted Tachyon SAS/SATA controller family. The SPCve 16x6G provides system designers with end-to-end diagnostics and error handling mechanisms to increase system performance, availability and, most importantly, manageability. Unique end-to-end features and algorithms can be achieved from host to hard disk drive by using the SPCve 16x6G in combination with PMC's market leading maxSAS family of SAS/SATA expanders, multiplexers, and enclosure management solutions.
